Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri - Transfer to Gangtok
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and we transfer you to Gangtok (115kms / 4.5Hr. drive). Located at an altitude of 1677 m Gangtok is the capital of the state of Sikkim, a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening free to explore around at your own pace, overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Gangtok Local Sightseeing (9.30 AM - 1:30 PM Or 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
After breakfast proceed for Half day sightseeing tour in and around this capital city of Sikkim, covering Chortan (Stupa), Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms (Closed on Sunday) and Ranka Monastery & Jakhri water Falls. You can opt for evening sightseeing slot as per your convenience. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3 - Excursion Trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
After breakfast start for half day trip to Tsomgo lake (12400ft), 32kms from Gangtok City. The lake is almost about 1Km long, oval in shape and 15 m deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people; further 12Kms visit the Baba Mandir dedicated to the memory of soldier Harbhajan Singh. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 4 - Gangtok to Pelling
After breakfast, proceed to Pelling (123kms / 6.5Hr. drive). Pelling is a very small Himalayan village in West Sikkim. Pelling is the nearest motor able point from Mt. Kanchenjunga, worlds 03rd highest peak, offers a good sunrise and all day long view of Kanchenjunga and the entire Eastern Himalayan range. Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 5 - Pelling local sightseeing (9.30am - 1.30pm or 2.00pm - 6.00pm)
After breakfast start for half day sightseeing in an around Pelling. Visit Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery – the 2nd oldest monastery of Sikkim, & Darap Village. Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 6 - Pelling to Darjeeling
After breakfast, transfer to Darjeeling (128kms/5hrs). Once the summer capital of India, Darjeeling is a land of infinite variety and charm. It will cater you a mix experience of lively nature & charming Himalayan people. It is the place of Dorje, the mystic thunderbolt of the Lama-Religion. Surrounded by Tea gardens, this little town faces some of the Himalayas highest peaks. Take rest and then walk around the town to appreciate the new culture you are in. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 7 - Darjeeling local sightseeing three points (04am to 07am) and best points (9.30am to 1.30am or 2.00pm to 6.00pm)
Early morning start for Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sunrise and its amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchenjunga (World’s 3rd highest peak), Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batashia Loop War Memorial while returning to the Hotel. Breakfast at the Hotel followed by half day local Best points sightseeing covering Padmaja N. Zoological Garden (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday), Ropeway (entry fees not included) walk around visit to the Mall and Local Market (Closed on Thursday). Evening Free for shopping & individual activity, overnight at hotel.
Day 8 - Darjeeling to Kalimpong and later local sightseeing
After breakfast proceed to Kalimpong (54kms / 2Hr. drive) and later the Local Sight Seeing in and around Kalimpong City. Visit Zong Dog Plair Fo- Brong Monastery (Durpin Dara Monastery), Flower & Orchid Nurseries, Dello Hill. Evening free for individual activity. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 9 - Departure - Gangtok to Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri
After breakfast we drop you at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (114kms / 4.5Hr. drive) for your onward journey. The trip ends here.
