Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 - Chandigarh to Dalhousie (320 km/approx. 8 hours)
This morning start your road trip to Dalhousie. Dalhousie lies in Himachal Pradesh, across five hills namely Potreys, Kathlog, Bakrota, Tehra, and Balun. Studded with snow-capped peaks, Deodar and Oak trees, Dalhousie is a nature paradise. The place was used by Britishers as a summer retreat and has old world charm to it. After reaching Dalhousie, check-in to your hotel and rest. Later in the evening, enjoy the markets nearby and shop from the local shops. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
Day 2 – Dalhousie Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for full-day sightseeing tour of Dalhousie. Visit Panchpula, a picturesque spot with lots of natural pools of water around. There is a monument, built in the memory of freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh. Visit Subhash Baoli, where Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose spent his time in contemplation. Visit the temple of Bhulwani Mata at Bara Pathar and feast your eyes with stunning view of snow-clad peaks at Bakrota Hills. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 - Dalhousie to Khajjiar (25 km/approx. 1 hours)
In the morning, begin your road trip to Khajjiar. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your day at leisure enjoying its natural ambiance. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 - Khajjiar to Dharamshala (120 km/approx. 4 hours)
After breakfast, proceed to Dharamshala. Dharamshala is a city in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley and is surrounded by dense coniferous forest consisting mainly of stately Deodar cedar trees. Dharamshala and its surrounding area was ruled by the Katoch Dynasty of Kangra, a royal family that ruled the region for two millennia. The royal family still keeps a residence in Dharamsala, known as 'Clouds End Villa'. , Dharamshala serves as home to the Dalai Lama and the government of Tibetan in exile. A beautiful blend of Indian and Tibetan cultures, Dharmashala has lots of temples and monasteries to entice its visitors. Day 5 - Sightseeing in Dharamshala
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Dharamshala. Visit Kangra Museum, St John’s Church, Dal lake and many colourful temples and gompas. Next stop is the Tibetan Medical Centre located in Kangra. Learn about the traditional system for preparing medicinal pills in Tibet. Also visit the Art Museum that showcases artifacts from the 5th century. Various sculptures, paintings and pots are also on display here. seeing the best of Dharamshala, return to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 - Dharamshala to Chandigarh (250 km/approx. 6 hours)
After breakfast check-out from the hotel we drop you to Chandigarh for your onwards journey.
